SPECIES
A Note On Weres: EACH SPECIES ALSO HAS A SUBSPECIES OF WERES. Meaning, there are such things as werewolves, and werebats, werecats, werelions, etc. They shift between human and their select animal, and are usually ranked rather highly within their group. Group rankings are explained here. The only ways to pass on the were gene is through reproducing, intercourse with a were, or ingesting the blood of a were you've slain; the last two methods only work with humans, trying them with another species will have no affect.
Lupi:
Wolves are notorios night hunters and of corse known for their oral report to the moon. Wolves are crucial and very beloved by Dracula because of their beauty and grace, and also their hunting abilities and song. Colors of wolves range from snow white and fawn brown to shadow black and russet red. Markings can include different colored paws, face spots, underbelly colors, and more.
Werewolves: Werewolves are the most notorious of the different were-species, as they are the most reckless of them. They are often very irritable or have mood swings, and usually find hobby in terrorizing villages along the mountain. Their wolf form looks and acts just the same as a regular wolf, though may be somewhat larger, and can communicate with canines telepathically. Their human form is normal, although usually very muscular. The hair color or eye color of their human form may not always be the same as that of their wolf form. Weaknesses include: Silver.
Munte Lei:
Mountain Lions are rather separated from the rest of the children because they're not particularly known for their affinities with vampires, and therefore seen as somewhat weak amongst their family. However, they still have a sinsister image amongst humans and are still part of the family, so they remain close. Their job is really to hunt amongst the mountains and sometimes the Viclean will venture inward towards the human vilages, but not very often. They are stealthy and skilled hunters, thanks to their feline origin. Their classic coloring is tawny brown/beige type color with a lighter under belly and they usually don't have unusual markings, though they are known to have some orange tints in their fur.
Were Mountain lions: Were Lions are known to be very docile and lacking much emotion in human form, but act much like regular mountain lions when shifted: vicious and predatory. Their lion forms look like any regular lion, except slightly larger, and, like all other weres, their hair and eye colors do not necessarily match their fur or eye colors. Their human form is very graceful and reminiscent of a vampire...with a tan. Weaknesses include: Electricity.
Lilieci:
Of course, humans don't particularly like bats. Bats are known amongst their family to sit quietly and listen in the houses of humans and buildings in the city. The bats are a very tightly knit group and close with one another though they may have a few friends from outside species and are friendly amongst other bat groups. Their colorings can be a mud brown color to a gray or black and they have rather useless black eyes. They don't really have markings but wing span, skull shape, and flight patterns can differ greatly depending on the sub species of bat.
Were Bats: Were Bats are the quirky ones in the family. In human form, they are very vibrant and energetic, some times known to be rather loud and quite odd. They're often flighty, can't stand still for long periods of time without fidgeting, and can be very clumsy. Again, they may have different hair and eye color than their fur and eye color. In bat form, they tend to have a larger wingspan than regular bats, and usually better sight. Their human forms are usually very tall and thin. Weaknesses include: Long exposure to bright light, Fire.
Pisici:
Cats are cherished among the vampire world...and the human world, and this is why Dracula counts on them so precisely to worm their way into a human's home and learn their inner workings. Reports come in heavily from these groups. They've broken up the village into five parts: north, east, south, west, and center, each division assigned to one group. Gratios own the Northern Division, ToateVazand the Eastern Division, Intelept the Southern Division, Examinar the Western Division, and Dinumbra have the central division. Their coloring can very from orange to black to gray to white to blue to all sorts of browns and everything in between. Markings can be tiger stripes, spots, solid colors, colored noses, ears, tails, paws, chests, chins, underbellies, and lots more. Also, there are long-haired cats, short-haired, cats with double paws (a "thumb" on their paw), and stumpy tailed cats. Cats have a wide range of appearances so it's suggested that you get a picture of a cat that you want to describe before you create a bio for a cat.
Were Cats: In human form, they don't have any real personality quirks, as human and cat personalities are very similar. Their human forms tend to be very graceful and quiet in movement, and their hair and eye colors don't have to match their fur and eye colors. Weaknesses include: Water, Wolf/dog bites.
Sclavi:
Not all Sclavi, or humans, are actual slaves, however Dracula and his Children of the Night see all humans as slaves, whether they are enslaved or not. Some humans are oblivious to any supernatural activity, some are fully in-tuned to it and hunt Children of the Night, and others are in between. Some humans are captured and enslaved in the castle by Dracula and his castle vampires, others are made into meals, and occasionally, a slave will be turned.
Vampiri:
Vampires are highly complex creatures. They are immortal, can change their age appearance (but cannot change their full on appearance, simply age and unage themselves as they please), are very pale, but can move around during the day (they are weak and cannot use their vampire powers though, as it is not natural for them), must consume at least 24 oz. of blood each month, and are undead. All vampires develop an affinity with one of the four Children of the Night species, and can shift into that animal and talk with that species in regular form. Dracula has the ability to shift into any of the species. To change a human, the vampire must first drink from them, and the human must, in turn, drink from a welt intentionally made by the vampire themselves. This must happen several times, usually around three or four within the time of two weeks for a full change, and is a very intimate ceremony. Blood-drinking is an intimate ceremony in itself, as God intended to be merciful to his humans and give them a sense of intense pleasure, while the vampire is filled with heady sense of lust and power simply because they are feeding, not because of any divine or unnatural intervention. Biting any other species besides humans will poison and kill the creature. Their fangs are retractable, and they have very heightened senses, as well as grace, the ability to be silent while walking, the ability to move too quickly for humans to see (although, using this power often drains their energy, and they must feed more in order to keep from wearing down), and the ability to turn into a cloudy mist. Weaknesses include: Silver, staking through the heart, beheading, sunlight.
Please follow these rules, and if you find a mistake of some sort, or want to work with a loop hole, or have questions, feel free to drop Miep a private message or ask her in the CBox.

GROUPS
Groups are not very complex. Per species, with exceptions within vampires and humans, there are between two and five groups and there are rogues. Rogues do their own thing, they are not affiliated with the Children of the Night, nor do they serve Dracula.
Groups have ranks, much like wolf packs or lion prides do. Instead of an Alpha, or Beta, or Omega, there are the Leaders, the 2ND In Command's, and the rest of the members. The rest of the members are "ranked" generally by the amount of time they've spent with the group, their loyalty, size, abilities, and closeness towards the vampires.
Rogues can be recruited into groups, however, the group must approach Dracula or one of his leading vampires with the rogue for acceptance into the group. You must PM a staffer if a rogue is accepted into a group or if a group member goes rogue, vampires included, so that they can change the banner on their character profile.
With humans, they either live in villages/cities/towns, are slaves, or are hunters. They occasionally pack together in communities, but do not have any official groups such as Vanatori or Dinumbra.
Vampires are either with Dracula, or against him. It is possible to turn a human against their will, and that is how most vampire rogues come about. As far as ranks, Dracula's castle is the "base" for the Children of the Night, and his most precious vampire children live with him in his castle or around the Carpathians. These favored vampires are like Dracula's 2ND In Command's, some closer to him than others. He entrusts many responsibilities of controlling his dark kingdom with them when he either cannot or doesn't feel like it.
